Payment Details


1.    Who do I make cheques/ Money Orders Payable to?

Answer:  You make Cheques & / or Money Orders Payable to: Safe Load Program



2.    Will Safe Load Program have credit card facilities?

Answer: Yes: As per note on new & Updates page, credit card facilities are now available.

We accept Visa / Mastercard and AMEX 

Be aware if paying via AMEX it will incur a 2.75% surcharge

3.    Can I pay by EFT?

Answer:  

Yes BUT YOU MUST

a) Make sure to include the SLP invoice number as a reference for us to track down the payment.

b) Email a copy of the transaction receipt to

Information for Drivers

1.    How long are passports valid for?

Answer: Passports are valid for 3 years


2.    Is Safe Load Program reviewing passport validity (to 5 years) for alignment with drivers Dangerous Goods (DG) licence?

Answer:  No: not at the moment (this may change at a later date)


3.    My current passport is still valid (not due for replacement) do I need to do anything now?

Answer: No: The current passport will be valid (recognised) until it expires


4.    Should I tell Safe Load Program if I change my address?

Answer: Yes: Please send through an email to web@safeload.net.au with the details to be amended. There is no charge for this service and we will update our records accordingly.


5.    How long does it take to process a passport?

Answer:  Please allow up to Two (2) weeks turnaround, longer if the forms are incorrectly filled out.



 

Approved Inspection Location (AIL)


1.    I am Interested in becoming an Approved Inspection Location (AIL). How do I get the 'ball rolling'

Answer:  Send an email (enquiry) to web@safeload.net.au detailing the following:

  • Name of Business
  • Trading location
  • Experience dealing with Dangerous goods tankers
  • Business contact information
  • Experience working with Road Tanker Equipment
  • Qualifications/ Skills & Experience of all personnel who will be performing the inspections

WE NEED TO HAVE DETAILED RESPONSES TO THE FOLLOWING  BEFORE WE  CAN ISSUE THE SELF ASSESSMENT DOCUMENT TO YOU

  • Experience working with Road Tanker Equipment
  • Qualifications/ Skills & Experience of all personnel who will be performing the inspections

  • 2.    I am an AIL, but my details are not on the web site (safeload.net.au)

    Answer:  Send an email (enquiry) to web@safeload.net.au detailing the following:

    3.    Where do I purchase the Pass-2-Load labels from?

    Answer:  From Safe Load Program send written request to web@safeload.net.au or call 02 9250 5494 and place your order over the phone.

                  Stickers are $16.50 each including GST + Inserts.

                  Pass2Load Stickers are ONLY Available to Approved Inspection Locations.



     

  • Driver Accredited Training (DAT)

    1.  How does a Driver apply for a passport?

  • Answer:

    • Contact SLP to get a list of DAT Trainers in your state
    • Make sure you have a current Dangeroud Goods (DG) Licence if applying for Petroleum or LPG Passport (not required for Combustibles Only Passport)
    • Book in for Theory and Practical Loading Training with DAT Trainer
    • Make sure your completed SLP passport application form plus your Practical Loading form are legible & all details are correct
    • Send your passport application form together with your practical loading form & current passport sized photograph is sent to SLP together with your $132 incl GST for payment of passport (See Above for Payment methods)


    2.  When will there be a 'train the trainer' course offered?

            Answer:  We are currently in discussions on this subject. Review the DAT page regularly for updates. 


    3.    Is there Safe Load Programâ„¢ documentation / forms available?

            Answer: Yes: please contact SLP web@safeload.net.au or 02 9250 5494

     
    4.   Will there be a trainer secure page for downloading forms/ documents?

            Answer:  Yes: This is currently in development. All current trainers will be contacted shortly to advise them of their logon and password.

     
    5.    Is the course material going to be updated?

            Answer: Yes: There is no estimated time for completion, but we are aiming for Q2/2011

    Train the Trainer FAQ's


    Will the Driver Accredited Training (DAT) training change in the future?
    SLP is currently reviewing the long-term future of the DAT program. It is possible that changes to DAT could be seen as early as mid - late 2011.
    What these specific changes will be is unknown, but could vary from a total program redesign to the complete closure of DAT, possibly replaced by another system of training and assessment.

    I have booked my training, now when will I receive information about the training event (location, times etc)?
    Detailed information will be provided to attendees 2 weeks prior to the training event.Who is this training  and assessment Designed for?

    This training and assessment is designed for a trainer who wishes to become accredited as an SLP DAT Trainer. To qualify you MUST pass the assessment to be accredited.

    I am currently a DAT trainer under the old AIP training system, do I need to do this course t o retain my ability to provide DAT training?
    No, if you are currently a DAT trainer under the old AIP training system then you do not need to do this training to retain your ability to trin drivers in DAT.

    How do I book for Training?
    Bookings need to be made with SLP via email

    How much will the course cost?
    The cost of training and all training materials provided on the day will be $600 + GST  per person payable to SLP prior to the Training course date.
    (Travel, accommodation, meals and beverages are at the course participants expense)

    How can I guarantee I get a place on a course?

    You MUST book via email with SLP, supplying your credit card details for full adavanced payment.
    Only once full payment is received will your place be guaranteed.
    (Training places are on a first come basis with a maximum of 10 participants per course date)

    How many places are in a course class?
    Maximum course class size of 10

    If the course at a location is full, will SLP hold another training course at the same location or in the same state?
    Yes, but not until 2011, dates to be confirmed in early 2011.

    When do the course enrolments close?
    Course enrolments close 2 weeks prior to the advertised training date.

    How will I know if a course is still available?
    As soon as possible SLP will mark the course as FULL on the website.

    Where is the training held?
    Training will be held at an SLP participating oil company facility in each state (details of the exact location will be advised to confirmed course participants closer to the date of the course.

    How long does the training take?
    Training is held over one (1) full day (eg 8.30am - 5.00pm)

    What are the minimum requirements I need before I can attend and expect to pass a DAT Train the Trainer course?
    Minimum requirements

    • A certificate 4 in training (evidence MUST be provided on the day)
    • a minimum of 4 years experience in the fuel industry (road transport or terminal gantry operations related) evidence of this experience would come in the form of references provided by a minimum of 2 referees providing details of your experience within the industry
    • (referees contact details MUST be provided)
    • The trainee will be required to attend the full day session
    • The trainee will be required to present a minimum of one (1) of the training modules from a morning training session; this will form part of the final assessment of train the trainer approval.

    Will The Safe Load Program Driver Accreditation Training (DAT) Train the Trainer & Assessment
    Sessions for 2010 cover the LPG component?
    The Safe Load Program Driver Accreditation Training (DAT) Train the Trainer & Assessment sessions for 2010 WILL NOT cover the LPG component. It is TBA for 2011.
